I know starting therapy can feel overwhelming. You might be wondering what to expect, how it works, or if it’s even right for you. You’re not alone—I hear these questions all the time. So, let’s take a deep breath and walk through the answers together.
How does therapy work?
Therapy is really just a safe space for you to be you. We’ll chat about what’s going on in your life, notice patterns that aren’t serving you, and figure out ways to feel more in control and confident. Think of it as having a guide who helps you make sense of the messy stuff and find tools to handle it better—without judgment.
What can I expect in my sessions?
Every session is about you—your pace, your goals. We might talk, do exercises, or explore creative ways to process feelings. At first, it’s about getting clear on what brought you here and building trust. Over time, you’ll leave with tools, insights, and a little more confidence to face life on your terms.
How will you help me?
I combine practical strategies with a big dose of empathy. Together, we’ll tackle overthinking, anxiety, low confidence, and tricky relationship stuff. I’ll help you tap into your strengths, trust yourself more, and feel like you finally have a plan for navigating life instead of just reacting to it.
How long is a therapy session?
Most sessions are about 50–60 minutes. It’s enough time to check in, dive into what’s on your mind, and leave with some practical takeaways. Some people feel like an hour flies by, others love having that full hour just for themselves.
Do I have to come in person?
Nope! I offer both in-person sessions and online sessions via video. You get to choose what feels safest and most comfortable for you. Therapy should fit your life, not the other way around.
How much does therapy cost?
My rates are transparent so there are no surprises. Please see my fee page for more details. If cost is a concern, let’s chat about options to make therapy work for you.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes—your privacy is incredibly important to me. hink of therapy as your personal “no judgment zone. Everything you share in therapy stays between us, with only a few exceptions required by law.
Confidentiality must be broken by law if:
1 .You’re at risk of seriously harming yourself.
2. You threaten to seriously harm someone else.
3. There’s a risk of harm to a child or vulnerable person.
4. I’m required by law (such as a court order).
Outside of those rare situations, what you say stays private—it’s your safe space.
How soon will I feel better?
Healing isn’t instant—it’s a journey. Some people notice small shifts after a few sessions, others take longer. The goal isn’t just “feeling better” for a moment—it’s learning tools, insight, and self-trust that last.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, overthinking, or just curious about understanding yourself better, therapy can help. Even if you’re not sure, reaching out is the first step toward clarity and change.
What if I don’t know where to start?
That’s totally okay! You don’t have to have it all figured out before coming to therapy. We’ll start exactly where you are and build from there—one step at a time, at your pace.
✨ Still got questions?
